New Delhi: Markets prolonged losses for the fifth straight session on Monday with each fairness indices falling over 2 % amid unfavorable cues from international markets.

The 30-share BSE index ended 1,145.44 factors or 2.25 per cent decrease at 49,744.32. The broader NSE Nifty sank 306.05 factors or 2.04 per cent to complete at 14,675.70.

Main losers within the Sensex pack had been DrReddy’s, M&M, Tech Mahindra, IndusInd Financial institution, Axis Financial institution, TCS, LT, RIL, Maruti, HCL Tech, Powergrid and HDFC, falling upto 4.77 %. However main gainers had been ONGC, HDFC, and Kotak Financial institution, rising upto 1.14 %.
